What do you expect the street price to be Novelli?

I hate to bring this up, but the color looks a bit different between the two photos (one is bluer, the other is more turquoise green). Do you know which one is closer to the actual color?

The M600 Pink from 2015 has been hard to find for a bit. These were retailing for $500 in the US at release. Any models you see for sale now have 4 digit asking prices. Cant believe one just sold for $1165 on eBay. Wonder if the Turquoise will command the same type of premium (wishful pricing) in the future once its out of production?

Joshua, I'm just curious, do you think the M605 white will rise in price as well?

Hard to say. There is no rhyme or reason to it. Will just have to wait and see what demand looks like when theyre more scarce. Always amazes me which models catch fire whereas others dont.

I have to say I like the color on this one and may have to consider it. Sure wish they had come out with the M800 in this color.

Yeah, but then I’d have to spend stupid money on a discontinued nib size. Pelikan discontinued me as a customer when they dropped all the nibs I use.

Agreed. Pelikan lacks in the nib variety department. Im paying stupid prices to catch interesting nibs for my M800s.

Also, they need to catch up to Montblanc in terms of ink quality (some of them at least...Toffee Brown, Irish Green, Lavender Purple, and Corn Poppy Red to name a few).

Agreed. I'm discontinuing buying new Pelikans and instead looking for nibs for the ones I have. Found a great M600 OM at the LA show. It's silly how well this is made in comparison with the new ones.

The new ones are a lot nicer with a grind- cursive italic on a fine m800 is quite spectacular!

Agreed. While I do mourn the older style nibs, at least current broad nibs have enough tipping to be a versatile base for most custom grinds.

Any word of the arrival of these birds? I've been counting down the days until "mid-March" since the beginning of March, and it is now MARCH 15.

all the retailers and ditributors received this email from Pelikan:

"Dear all,

The launch for the Special Edition Souverän 600 Turquoise-White was planned for 15.03.18.

Unfortunately we have to postpone the launch to 02.04.2018.

The reason is that we are waiting for the delivery of the gift boxes, which will be delayed by 2-3 weeks.

Please excuse any inconveniences caused."

I'm afraid you have to wait a little longer, sorry for the trouble.

Regards,

Marco

Thank you, Marco, at least we have a date. Though I'm impatient, I have plenty of Pelikans to keep me occupied in the meantime.

2018 is not good year for my pocket book between this and the blue M120 I'm way over my anticipated budget (still worth it :P )
