I took great pleasure in using this pen today; a Wahl Eversharp Doric (bought on this very website!), inked with Iroshizuku Hoteison

A slightly odd assortment: (1) Parker 51, medium nib, with Pelikan 4001 brilliant black; (2) Waterman Laureat, fine nib (which is more like a generous European medium), with Jinhao black ink; and (3) Lamy 81, medium nib, with Pelikan 4001 royal blue.

All of these pens are writing a sturdy, assertive line, and to my surprise, considering the evil reputation of Pelikan royal blue among those who were forced to use it when going to school in Europe, that too is writing a pleasantly dark line.

I filled it with a sample of Franklin-Christoph Spanish blue that was given to me at pen club.

Tonight I loaded my black M300 with the Stipula Sweet Pink, which I've been using in a dryer JIF, but it looks pretty much the same.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

Lamy Profil 81, medium nib, Pelikan 4001 royal blue. Parker 51 Special, medium nib, Pelikan 4001 brilliant black. Montblanc SlimLine, fine nib, Aurora black. With Aurora ink the SlimLine has become a smoother and more generous writer than it is with the dryer inks I routinely use. I live and learn.

So far today it's been the Pelikan M120 Iconic Blue, M nib, with Edelstein Star Ruby; and the Parker 51 Vac Navy Grey (my most recent acquisition), still with its fill of Waterman Intense Black from the seller (our own gweimer1) at the Ohio Pen Show a few weeks ago.

A Sheaffer Snorkel Desk set. The pen is a medium and it is filled with Lamy Blue ink I purchased this NOS pen/base set for $20 off ebay, the sac and seals still worked after 60+ years, although I replaced them.

Today it's been a lot so far, because I had a bunch of pens that were almost empty and now need to be flushed out:

Parker Vector Shrek/Puss in Boots, M nib (Diamine Anniversary Terra Cotta);

Pelikan M120 Iconic Blue, M nib (Edelstein Star Ruby);

Pelikan Pelikano blue (? turquoise), M nib (diluted Noodler's Eye of the Porbeagle LE);

plus Pilot Decimo Light Grey, F nib (Iroshizuku Tsuyu-kusa).

And it's not even 1 PM yet (all four got used for today's morning pages entry -- as one pen went dry, another was picked up); the M120 is currently soaking and once that's flushed out, the next pen in the queue gets flushed. Debating on whether to flush or refill the Decimo (I really want to swap out Tsuyu-kusa for Murasaki-Shikibu, one of the inks I got a bottle of at OPS a few weeks ago.

And adding to the list will be the Sheaffer Lady Skripsert, now that I have a converter for it and the other Skripsert): it got inked up with one of the OPS LE inks, Park of Roses, and if I have time I want to do a thorough testing of the ink.

Second night in a row using my black M300 EF. Haven't used it much since I bought it, had Stip Saffron in it first, then tried El Dorado, now it's got Dark Forest in and that looks great. Pen looks great, too, of course, so glad I managed to get it.

      Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

      It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

      Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

      Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

      @asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
