I love reading this thread, so I thought I would join in the fun. Clearly I'm very late to the party. Hopefully not too late...

Anyway, here is one of my calligraphy Frankenpens:

It's been a while for me too. When one of your favourite pens is loaded with one of your favourite inks, magic rarely fails to happen.

Uh... is this fountainpennetwork.com?

The 'interesting' thing is that, with the COVID-19 health crisis (and, more specifically, my fellow citizens' — my peers' and equals' — behaviours and demonstrated attitudes in response) being so depressing, it's the first time in years that I found myself having the enthusiasm to touch very few of my fountain pens if at all, and now it's dawned on me that I could probably do with just 30 pens instead of 200+ (not counting the ones that have moved to my wife's fleet permanently).

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

I made that discovery and shared a bunch of pens and ink.

And I understand about the inter-marital movement of pens and ink.

Oh, but I "have" all the inks... and the ultrasonic cleaner, which makes me the frequent recipient of requests coached as, "Husband, I think this pen has run out of ink. It needs cleaning and refilling."

The timestamps of any photos I take and then post on FPN these days will show it's always out of business hours Monday to Friday, because my study/workshop/spare room has been taken over by SWMBO's "work from home" arrangement.

...random aside - I still have some 30 rolls of unused, long-expired Kodachrome 64 film (35mm). They have been frozen since 2009. No idea why I have held on to them for this long, but I guess I'm hoping for a miracle. I too have never developed colour film but I still d&p my B&W to this day. As a passion, of course.

Thanks for the info (I only used B&W film and learned to process that).   Boy -- the stuff I learn here!  Just continually astounded at the depth and breadth of knowledge in this community! Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

      >Well, I knew people who were photography majors in college, and I'm pretty sure that at least some of them were doing photos in color,<   I'm sure they were, and my answer assumes that. It just wasn't likely to have been Kodachrome.  It would have been the films I referred to as "other color films." (Kodachrome is not a generic term for color film. It is a specific film that produces transparencies, or slides, by a process not used for any other film. There are other color trans

@Ceilidh -- Well, I knew people who were photography majors in college, and I'm pretty sure that at least some of them were doing photos in color, not just B&W like I learned to process.  Whether they were doing the processing of the film themselves in one of the darkrooms, or sending their stuff out to be processed commercially?  That I don't actually know, but had always assumed that they were processing their own film.
