Ink Review Paper

I saw on the ink review section that there are print outs available for reviewing ink that has a lot of great information on it. however the only way to use it is to print it out. does anybody know how to find better quality paper that will work in a home ink - jet paper and will also give good results for fountain pens?

I think the point of ink reviews is to show how the ink looks and works in actual situations, rather than to make it look good on a specific kind of paper. So I think you are free to use any kind of paper, especially those you usually write on, so your review can serve as a reference for readers. Some people are thorough and showcase several kinds of paper (Sandy1's amazing reviews come to mind), while others use just one kind of paper (like me, who just grabs the paper I'm using at hand).

Back to the printing paper, I've been using a lot of ordinary 80g copy papers (from Carrefour, from Clairefontaine, etc.) and those are what I used for my recent reviews.

Look forward to seeing your reviews!

I didn't know that clairfontaine made inkjet paper, i do love the notebooks they make, is the paper the same?

My main apprehension about using copy paper is copy paper isn't even a good reference for average notebook paper which is what i am most interested in testing. thank you for the assistance :D

For the ink reviews I've done, I've used a mix of papers, including fancy stuff like Clairefontaine and Tomoe River as well as really nasty stuff like cheap office legal pads. This is to show how the ink behaves on a variety of papers.

Maybe you can use the printout form as a guide, without actually printing it on the paper you're using.

I'm not sure whether they are the same paper, but I suspect that they are not.

Well if you're interested in testing ink on notebook paper you can do your review with that. Like ErrantSmudge said, just think of the form as a guide.

Clairefontaine DCP Digital Color Printing paper. Which I have in addition to the HP 32#. It’s perhaps a bit brighter, smoother and just a bit heavier (sorta). It’s also far more expensive and only comes in A4 AFAIK. It’s akin to Clairefontaine Triomph.

Seems like they have several kinds of copy paper. Here's mine:

I believe this is their whole range:
