Leather Triple Pen Case Options?

Hello all, I previously purchased some cheap faux leather case from China and, although it looked and felt fine, after a few weeks the bands for the pen ended up coming loose so I'd like to purchase a new case.

Preferably it would be a triple pen case, flap and rectangular box shaped (defined corners, think FC vs Aston pen case), under $50, and available in the US. I've looked at some mainstream brands like Franklin Chrisoph and Pelikan but I was wondering what other brands people have tried.

Some other brands I've looked at are nock - decent budget option, wancher (great but shipping from Japan), and aston (also nice but I prefer the uniform surface of FC).

I have a 2-pen case from FC that I like quite a bit. It is super sturdy and I like that it has internal "partitions" to keep the pens separate so they aren't bouncing around against each other. I wanted the 3-pen case but it was sold out in the Stock Room so I just went with the 2 and I'm glad I did.

I know you said you wanted one that was readily available in the US but if you have time to wait I also recommend Galen Leather. They make all of their leather items and they have 3, 6, 5, and 10 pen case options. I have a 5-pen case and am able to fit an A6 notebook on one side and a variety of pens on the other. It will hold pens as large as a Pelikan M1000 so rest assured that most pens would fit :) It is a zippered case, however. I will say that it is nice and sturdy workmanship and the overall experience, purchasing, packaging etc. was really enjoyable. You also have a ton of options available for leather color.

Just my $0.02 worth.

Wow those galen leather cases look nice and their options are quite overwhelming.

I'll have to think about that - maybe a larger 5 pen case with a notebook is what I'm looking for after all :)

I have a Royce leather single pen case I got from Amazon and I've been very happy with it. They make single, double and triple cases.

with a charge from over several millennia of continuing the art of recording man's life.

Got a triple pen case from Toys from the Attic last week at the Ohio Pen Show (and one of their 12-pen cases as a Christmas gift): http://www.tfta.us/fine-writing-ink-accessories

Went with the pelikan 3 pen case, but franklin christoph and pilot somes case were close contenders. I'm sure all will make great cases.

I'm quite happy with my Libelle leather zippered triple pen case. At times I've had up to six pens in it (only 3 were strapped in) without issue.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
