That is exactly what I think about pens. They are a tool, meant to be used. My only fear is that some @ school will steal it, idk. The Parker 51 appears to be in very nice condition; only two minor dents and some scuffs and scratches.

Parker 51s have not been made in many years. They were truly writing tools. A few scratches and "dings" are not uncommon, in a well-loved P51. I call it "character". It might be a worthwhile investment to have your Parker 51 serviced, so you can enjoy fifty years of premium writing.
