Cracked and broke the section on my Patrician. Yowch. It's the red/maroon one. Can't find a replacement anywhere. The NIB and the feed are fine, I just need a section itself. Looked all around the net and check with fivestarpens, and can't seem to find a replacement. Either red or black would do! If anyone can help, it would be appreciated!

On rare occasions they appear on eBay. Someone had a red section up for sale but it sold. This is not easy to find and expect to pay a fair amount for a replacement. I would start contacting individuals if I were in your place since you won't likely find one online. You can also look for a junker pen and harvest the parts. Keep the section and sell the rest.

Wow, yeah, that section would work perfect. But not for $399. And the dude's description--ouch?

 

If anyone has any other leads on WHERE a section could be found, it would be greatly appreciated. It was my favorite pen! Ugh.

To think I sold this for £120 a couple of years ago. There was no way I could find a new feed or make a new cap ring so it went to a man that could.

 

I suspect I could get that for the nib alone now.....ahhh well never mind.

Try some of the well-known repairers. They keep stocks of parts for repairs.

 

Whether or not they're willing to let them go, well, that's another story....

No hijack, just showing the parts are out there you just have to be patient or lucky. That pen was purchased on eBay and its broken feed was not shown or mentioned in the description. Perhaps a WTB in FPN Classifieds will bring fruit.

Ask that seller, claims they are easy to find in the eBay ad.

 

I'd think a correct section in red to be a 100-120 item in good condition.

As an alternative option you could find a repairer who can turn you a new section for your pen. There are probably several members on here who could do that job for you.

ebayer fivestarpens would be my first port of call...and that took me 60 seconds of ebaying....

I don't think it's going to be that easy because the internal profile is not a true circle. There is a set position for the nib. When removing the nib and feed from the grip/block you have to ensure they return to the exact rotational position. Even modern pens have this feature.

      Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

      It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

      Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

      @asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
