Need Help For Parker 21 Ink Vomiting Problem

Hello guys, today ive found a pen inside my dads drawer. Its a parker 21. I had no available converter for this pen so I just washed the old cartridge and filled it with Pelikan royal blue ink.

It started to vomit as i used it. It still keeps on vomiting even the times when i dont use it. Can you help me how to fix it? Is it a common problem among parker21s?

This looks like a Parker 45 NOT a P21. Any modern Parker converter will fit as will Parker ink cartridges. I have seen conflicting information on whether or not Lamy converters will fit--- if you have a Lamy laying around you might try it.

Can you see the slit on the top of the cartridge? Can this cause the problem?

I can't see the crack--- the photo isn't detailed enough--- but that could indeed cause the problem by creating an air leak.

Thank you for your help.

I dont know whether its a P45 or P21 and i cant confirm it as my dad couldnt remember it.

I will have a lamy converter in a few weeks than i can try it unless the problem is solved. And since i cant use international standard cartridges with parker theres nothing i can do until i buy one right?

Parker 45

A cracked seal will cause an air/ink leak.

Get a Parker converter or Parker cartridge ink.
