Paper for Franklin Covey Classic Binder

I have recently purchased a Franklin Covey Binder in the Classic size along with some Franklin Covey paper. The paper is horrible with anything but my finest point pen. Does anyone have any recommendations for lined note paper that would fit this binder? Paper size is 5.5 x 8.5 and has seven holes. Thanks,

James

Best option is to purchase the 7 hole punch, decent paper (HP 32# comes to mind), and a paper cutter. There are applications online to print your own planner www.diyplanner.com (not affiliated) has lots of info regarding that. They might even have a bargain 7 hole punch source.

I've been using the Franklin Covey Monticello paper with very good results. It seems to be far more FP friendly than their generic stuff. Which design, if any, have you been using?

I also bought the hole punch, but its pretty poor quality for what it costs. Of course, my electric hole punch has probably spoiled me for the manual ones.

Take a look on Daytimer's web site for their desk size paper. It meets your specifications. Daytimer's ID Number is 20581.

Interesting - I've just gone back to a paper planner for some of my activities (calendar remains electronic due to group scheduling, but time tracking and to/dos, as well as notes, are back to paper for me) and I bought the classic Franklin Covey paper and have found it to be very FP friendly. No feathering, quick drying, etc... but I do notice it makes my fines look quite fine, etc... in other words it does not wick much ink away so a dry writer will look even dryer on it. I have the 2 page per day Original Classic filler.

I've found DayTimer paper to be equally good, FWIW so it is for me really a matter of format preference.

The seven hole punch is the way to go! Love it! There are probably several places to get one. FC sells one and works great!

I have been using the Franklin Planner for years (over a decade). Being a recent FP enthusiast I was concerned how a FP would work on its paper. I use the Monticito Weekly Compact and there are no issues with any of the pens I use. I also use thier yellow lined sheets and graph paper. I use a Parker 21, Rotring Core, a Duke and a HERO (Noodler and Quink) so far no bleeding or smearing (and I'm lefthanded).

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
