We used to have some of these, but they haven't happened lately. So, here it is, show us your sandcastle doodles.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

I often forgot to take a bucket & spade to the beach so I would forever be making drippy drippy sand castles . . .

I remember that we had a thread like this going about a year ago, but some feelings were hurt and the context was lost so the thread was terminated. I was hoping we could start again, but this time without the fuss.

I have a list. I used a master list of images for kids to draw. Since kids drawings are about my technical level, I thought it would be fun for others.

So is this thread just for the sandcastle, or is it for any of those items, or for any basic doodle? Are there other rules? Those of us who weren't here last year wanna know the scoop... ;)

Well, I was thinking that every few days, or once a week, we would post up a new one and anyone could contribute at any time.

OK, here's my droopy sand castle and the pen that drew it - it's the one with the "special alloy" nib. Diamine Misty Blue.

I don't doodle any more. I used to do complex meshes of triangles and things during boring meetings.

I think I need to go to more boring meetings...

It should be possible to arrange a mesh of triangles into a sandcastle???

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.
    • Ceilidh
Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
