Papermate Mini Fountain Pen?

Has anyone here ever heard about these Papermate fountain pens before?

They look just like the Pilot Petit 1 to me, but apparently they take international cartridges.

I'm not interested in actually buying one, as I already have all the cheap pens I need, but I came across the eBay listing while searching for something else. I searched on this forum for Papermate, but didn't find anything relevant. Just curious.

I think I've got a bunch of those, and I wouldn't pay the prices that listing is asking for them, as they were a quid apiece in The Works when I bought mine four or five years back. The design was a little different on the ones I got hold of (which had graphics on the cap and barrel rather than a translucent solid colour finish), but it looks like the same pen. They were probably launched as an fp version of the cartridge rollerballs papermate were doing at the same time.

I don't have this model, but a couple of 'DJs,' which are wet, reliable writers good for ink testing. I think they were six, seven bucks each.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

Sailor's reminded me that I forgot to mention the important thing: the one I used for a while was a pretty decent pen. The nib was nothing special, but fairly smooth, and it wasn't in the habit of stopping writing or otherwise playing up for no apparent reason. I'd never have found a better fountain pen for the same money. :P
