Sheaffer 300 Rollerball

I purchased this pen at an out of town pen shop. I have now had this pen for 35 days. The pen has some heft to it. The cap weighs as much as the pen itself. This is one of the heaviest pens currently in my short but growing collection. The pen capped weighs in at 48.1 grams. The cap weighs 23.8 grams. The pen itself weighs in at 24.3 grams. I got the black with gold trim. As you guessed the pen weighs too much to write with while posted. It writes extremely well unposted with the perfect weight to height ratio. It fits perfectly in the hand unposted. I like the overall weight of the pen- it feels like your holding a high end pen. I enjoy writing with this pen. It glides so smoothly over the paper. It comes with one black gel cartridge. Also has a pivot clip. It comes in a fancy leathery case but I threw it away as I plan on keeping this pen forever. I will be looking into other Sheaffer pens in the future. I really can't think of any negatives to this rollerball pen. If your looking for a high end rollerball that won't break the bank- go for the Sheaffer 300.

 

PS... In comparrison- my Pilot 823 fountain pen weighs in at 30 grams inked and capped.
