Glass Nibs For Haro Pens

I have really trouble to find fitting glass nibs for my Haros. I have two pens and both have original nibs chipped badly. Both pens are really pretty colored, lever-filler got new sac and piston filler works. So these need nibs.

Those nib which have little blue ball are original nibs. They are little bit smaller than that lighter coloured nib, that I ordered on ebay. Originals are both 4mm diameter and the lighter one is 4,5mm. It fits on my other haro, but not deeply enough. Other one it didn't fit at all.

Where I could find these smaller glass nib? I would think that since Haro is German brand, german glass nib would be better fitting. I have tried ebay, with no luck. But also, because I don't speak german, I have trouble to use germany ebay.

Also, if someone have spare glass nibs lying around, I would happily buy some.

I was also thinking about sanding those new nibs smaller, but I'm afraid that it will disturb the ink flow. Those channels aren't deep and sanding 0.5mm may make them useless. And sanding olds nibs isn't option, they are chipped and will break.

I was also consider get nibs custom made, but I have no idea is that possible or where I could find this kind of service.

I looked winkpens and they glass nib looks really wide on tip, which is not ideal for me.

Still no luck finding fitting nibs.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.

Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
