...other than me? I absolutely love my regular 580, but I am a sucker for a blue pen and blue ink!!

As soon as they are available, I'm ordering one in Broad nib.

I'm afraid they won't be available soon as they are about to release diamond mini al blue.

I keep looking for the regular Diamond 580AL blue but no luck so far :-(.

I've been waiting for them to re-release the blue version as the did with the orange as I came into the FP scene a few months too late for their first run of the blue. Though I might just have to make due with the diamond mini blue AL in the mean time.

Same situation here. I missed the blue 580. Will be settling for the mini also. If anyone has a Blue 580AL they are looking to sell, PM me 😁

Purchased 20 of the Mini Blue yesterday from Goulet. 10 medium nib and 10 fine. Keeping one for myself and gifting the other 19 throughout the rest of the year.

If I bought the Diamond Mini AL, would I be able to swap it's blue aluminum pieces with the plastic pieces on my Diamond 580?

Judging by photos, it seems the pieces are of different sizes and therefore not swappable. Once I receive my order, I'll report back here.

They aren't swappable. The parts aren't just different sizes, but different shapes as well.

The blue 580Al was a limited run, long since ended. Currently, the blue Diamond mini Al is available at a few sellers, though it is going quickly.

The mini does not do much for me, but if they 580AL came out again in the blue I would be tempted.

Or maybe they could do AL versions of the Vac models. That would give something new for collectors ;)

It would just be the section and end cap in AL so might even be easier.

That blue AL-580 looks nice. I'm trying to decide between getting one of the Minis in that blue, or one of the AL-580s in pink. Of course, at the moment, I've just blown a wad on a couple of Pelikans, so I'm probably not buying ANY pens for at least a month or two....

I love blue pens too. I bought a (old style) Diamond 540 or maybe it's a 580 in sapphire, can't remember which one it is right now, back in 2013 from Cult Pens in the U.K. I opened its box once to take this picture. I haven't been able to bring myself to use it yet, it's just too beautiful!

Definitely a 540 - they didn't make a 580 in all-blue. I bought one, too, in late 2014 - even though I knew that the 540s have a reputation for cracking, I couldn't resist the colour! [so far so good, though - it's still periodically in service...]

Well, after posting a couple of weeks ago about not getting a pink 580AL anytime soon, a couple of weekends ago I ran into my friendly local pusher enabler pen shop -- theoretically to have a look at a Lamy Pacifica al-Star. Well, the Pacifica was okay, but the color not *really* wowing me. And then I noticed that they had a pink TWSBI under the counter.... So I went "Oooh! What nib sizes ya got in stock, Nick?" and ended up walking out with one with a B nib. Plus three bottles of De Atramentis ink.... Pen is a bit heavy when posted but other than that I'm liking it. And it looks great filled with D'A Sky Blue, one of the inks I picked up at the same time

Doesn't mean that I won't get one of the blue ones at some point, just not immediately....

Woo Hoo for pink. I think the blue is awesome.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

While the 580al blue is nice, I think the turquoise that TWSBI is going to release in a month looks better. Just my opinion, and I'm also a sucker for blue, any shade of blue.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
