Help With Clairefontaine Paper!

Hi everyone-

I've been looking everywhere for a decently priced notepad that's similar to the ones I always used in France. (Currently in DC)

When I was there my everyday paper was the Clairefontaine french-ruled, perforated tear-out page **paper pad, no spiral bound**

Is there a way to find these in stores in the US? Online without spending an arm and a leg?

I found a similar notepad by Rhodia, but can only find it in packs of 3. It may be silly, but I'm just looking to get one!

Any suggestions would be awesome!

Thank you!

You've done well. I've only been able to find French ruled in spiral bound at Goulet Pens.

Where did you find the pads?

Are you looking for this ?

http://www.clairefontaine.com/produit-fr-66131c-bloc-pupitre-agrafe-perfo4-trous-21x315-160p-seyes.html

you can find them on Amazon.fr but I think the shipping cost is ... expensive ...

(I think that Rhodia blocs are quite of the same quality, as far I could test ...)

One pen roll, two pen rolls, three pen rolls ... So many pen rolls ! Do you want one ?

my tiny shop is open and you can have a closer look on my website to see my cotton (and sometimes silk) OOAK penrolls.

I've searched myself and followed every link given here. None of them are for perforated tear out pads of French ruled paper that LamyLamyLamy is looking for.

I guess you have to go to France to get it. Might be worth a trip.

Nothing better than Paris, a bottle of Champagne and a hot blonde.

What do you call "French ruled" paper, then ?

What we use in France is in fact called "Séyès" and that's what I showed.

The dimensions of tear out pads are 21 x 32, I tried on amazon.com but I could not find them ...

I think you can find many templates on the web using the keyword "Séyès", then ...

Check out -http://www.shopwritersbloc.com/ as they have a reasonable range of "french rule" paper including individual sheets at good prices (imo). Have heard good things about them and like that they are not one of "the big dealers"!

I like using the French rule paper for calligraphy practice as well notebook stuff.

Best results...

If it's in the international catalogue, Goulet can order in batches. I send them an email saying what I want and they quote me a price. Generally blocks of 10-20. Shopwritersbloc is my alternate.

Thanks Ghost. I didn't think Goulet would offer that service. Good to know.

My opinion of Goulet Pens just keeps rising.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
