Franklin-Christoph Emerald?

I'm considering getting a Franklin-Christoph P66 and I'm having trouble deciding on the finish. I'm considering Emerald but I'm a little uncertain about the color (it doesn't seem to get mentioned much). Is the material translucent enough to see the ink level in the barrel when eyedroppered? Pictures of any Emerald Franklin-Christoph would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I don't have my 03 inked at the moment, but yes, you can see the ink level when eye-droppered. It's easiest to see if you can hold the pen up to a light source since the Emerald material is substantially darker than say the ice or colored-but-clear materials like amber or maya blue.

I like the emerald, it's quite a deep green. The inside of the barrel, grip and cap are not shined up, if that makes sense. They are left looking slightly raw, as if covered in a white powder. This gives the material a slight opacity, but it's not see-through as other materials might be such as the amber.

I have a Franklin Christoph 65 in Emerald. The material is slightly translucent, but quite dark. Mine has a barrel liner that extends almost the entire length of the barrel, but not quite. There is a length of about 5 mm near the section that acts as an ink window of sorts. The material is slightly translucent at that point, but you have to hold the pen up to a reasonably bright light source to see through at all. A bright window works. Where there is barrel liner, of course, the barrel is completely opaque to the eye. And perhaps because of the barrel liner, I don't see any roughness of the sort reported by Uncial. The barrel liner may be a late-model improvement; my 65 is a 2016.
