Robert Oster Melon Tea

@Gylyf: Thank you for the review. Do you think this ink is closer to Cigar, Kjellmaniella, Doujima Ryokkin and Rikyu-cha than the inks you have posted it's swatch with? I say this because it is easier to get than the 3/4 sailors I mentioned and dryness can be resolved by Photoflo?

I posted a comparison of Gagome, Cigar, and Melon Tea here:

Wow for the comparison. Great note Cyber6 about the importance of paper.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I'm currently using this ink in a Pelikan M600 with a broad wet nib on a Nock Co. spiral pad and it's quite wonderful. Really not experiencing any problems at all. I really like the color and the ink's behavior. Definitely a keeper. Thanks so much for your review.

Thank you for that. I just ordered the ink and was getting concerned about the reports of dryness. Happy days!!

I tried this ink recently. I did not think it was dry. I think it is quite nice. I just put it into a 1.1 nib, and I still have it in a F nib pen. I like the color and behavior a lot!

I've been using, and enjoying, it, but as with the other RO inks I've tried, I find that I need to use it in wet nibs in order to get the best out of the ink. As always, though, YMMV. :)

Glad you're enjoying it - I find RO inks to be far less wet and lubricating than other inks I use regularly, but they do work well in my wetter and broader nibs.
