I encourage any newcomer to fountain pens to join this PIF. The Lamy Safari is one of the best fountain pens ever made, from a combined design, cost and performance perspective. It's a fantastic starter pen and a must-have for any pen collection.

The ink is actually Florida Blue - not Oxford. Ordered one and typed the other but I can't edit the original post and have asked the Mod to do so. And I think I'll take care of Papamud's students (or maybe get him a pen) without having to rely on chance.
