Hi, folks!

Been going over some of my older photos and digging up some treasures to share.

This is the Classic Pens CP2 Pushkin, based on the Sheaffer Crest sterling silver, released 1993.

The pen honors the Pushkin Prizes, a literary awards program for children in Ireland presided over by the Duchess of Abercorn, descendant of Aleksandr Pushkin, the founding father of modern Russian literature.

I know it was a slip of the tongue, err ... slip of the finger ... on the keyboard. Lol.

Extremely beautiful.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi folks!

This is a previously unpublished image from 2008.

This is a Classic Pens CP2 Pushkin, the second limited edition by Classic Pens, released in 1993. It’s based on the sterling silver Sheaffer Crest fountain pen, which was a modern cartridge / converter reimagining of the 1952-1959 Sheaffer Snorkel, a pen equipped with the very complex Snorkel filler unit. The pen was a special collaboration between Classic Pens, Sheaffer and the Pushkin Prizes, a literary awards program for children in Ireland presided over by the Duchess of Abercorn, a lineal descendant of Aleksandr Pushkin, the founding father of modern Russian literature. The cap is engraved with the poet’s autograph and a quotation in Russian, “and fingers yearn for pen, pen for paper, a moment … and verses freely flow,” one of Aleksandr Pushkin’s favorite stanzas. The cap and barrel are engraved in a high relief barleycorn pattern. The Triumph conical nib is a unique to Sheaffer 18 karat gold design and the trim is 22 karat gold plated. The cap band has CP2 and the individual edition number laser engraved. The edition was limited to 500 pieces and each pen was presented in a hand crafted gift box.
