Wow. Great combo. The case also looks perfect for these three.

Thank you.

Thanks. Which pen are you currently using Sir?

PLP Drona - KW #6 nib (B), KW ebonite feed. Testing this new group-buy-model from PLP. Impressed till now, good balance, etc. If I was not told that this one was inspired by ACR jumbo, I would not have made the connection. Without the multi-start threading or tail finned feed, the functional advantage of ACR is lost. The thing that really struck me is the balance and comfort.

PLP jumbo (hourglass section) - Junlai #8 nib (ground to BB stub), KW #6 ebonite feed. One of the older "jumbos" that I usually carry around in the pocket.

KW Mammoth - right oblique B nib. The size of this nib is perfect for me, just a little longer than a #8 nib (~29mm exposed nib length), not quite the length of a Namiki, much shorter than a Tohma nib. The only gripe that I have is in regards to the body, which can be better designed.

Beautiful pens there 👍 That Dronacharya pen looks good. One more maker "Palucavi" is making Kim Jumbo replica and that will have multi-start threads and a better finned feed and even a similar clip as on Kim Jumbo. Perhaps you can take a look at that. And Dr.SK from Krishna Pens is continuing the legacy of ACRji with his Krishna Jumbo pens, but those are too hard to get for now.

Thanks for the information! I am in touch with Prasad on his Mambo-Jumbo project, interested to see how that one will turn out. I have also asked for a section that can take a #8 nib, keen on seeing if the #8 nib will make the pen more balanced or less.

I am not so keen on how the clip looks, but there is no denying that it is super functional, clips very well onto pen pouches, pockets.

I recently saw the picture of Krishna Jumbo, looks nice, I am aware of it's scarcity - their business model is strange to me. Are you planning on getting one?

Look forward to hearing your thoughts on using the Mambo Jumbo with #8 nib 👍 I find my Kim Jumbos to be perfect as it is, so never tried it.

Hope to get the Krishna Jumbo someday, but not anytime soon. Haven't ordered any pens since those Woodex pens in July. Want to extend this no-pen-buying break a little more if possible 🙂

Due to the longer barrel - like the ACR jumbo - my guess is that the #6 nib is more suitable even though it does not look pleasing, at least for me. Still, wanted to see if the 8 size nib would work. The older PLPs that I fit with 8 size nibs are shorter and hence are still comfortable to use. Will keep you posted on the experiments.

Yes, this works for me too 👍 Woodex 63 mini/ Deccan MP/ Brahmam/ Madurai pens - have no issues in using these with larger nib. It's pens like Kim Jumbo and Guider Giant ones that I can't use with larger nibs.
