I love this ink and how it has dark and light tones. Wonder if their other colors are just as good.

I haven't tried Honey (yet :(). But I've really liked a lot of the other KWZI inks I've tried. I'm not wild about the color of IG Turquoise, but it does have tons of shading (that's the term you're looking for -- "shading"). And IG Violet #3 is an amazing color which also has great shading.

Oh, the IG stands for "iron gall", which is a specific type of ink -- IG inks tend to be more acidic than normal inks -- like KWZI Honey (which generally have either a neutral pH or are somewhat alkaline). They are generally pretty permanent and work well on less than ideal paper (plus the color shift as the ink oxidizes on the paper is often fun to watch); the downsides to IG inks is that they are not UV resistant, and they take a little extra maintenance in your pen -- pens need to be flushed more often, and with a dilute solution of white vinegar (about 1 part vinegar to 9 parts distilled water), followed by flushing with more water (some people say that tap water is fine, but where I live the water is very hard -- I don't want the mineral buildup on my faucets clogging up my pen feeds...).

Check out the reviews of other KWZI inks (there's a pinned index to the Ink Reviews Forum, which is alphabetized by brand, if you haven't been pointed at it before now).

I have three so far - Grapefruit and Maroon, which I love, and Brown Pink, with which I'm not quite as enamored; the color is interesting on good paper but on copy it's a sort of dusty purple that doesn't do much for me. There are several others I want to try, Azure #4 and El Dorado to name two, but I'll probably try samples first on future purchases.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

I have 5 KWZ inks: Honey, Hunter Green, Green Gold, Dark Brown and Brown Pink.

I love them all, but if forced to choose one I'd pick Brown Pink as I like a bit of murk in my inks B).

Maroon and Aztec Gold look interesting too.

I have a few and like them all. Azures 2, 3, 4, 5 are great. Brown Pink is one of my favorite inks from any manufacturer. Green Gold 1, Maroon 1, and Hunter Green are also wonderful.

Honey is one of my favorites too! I also enjoy Aztec Gold, IG Turquoise, and IG Green #2( though I still need to find the perfect pen for this one). I have IG Mandarin, that I have yet to crack open, and IG Red #3, Raspberry, and Eldorado on the way. I have found all of them to be well behaved and beautiful inks, and really dig the obvious oxidation that occurs with Aztec Gold and IG Turquoise.

FP Ink Orphanage-Is an ink not working with your pens, not the color you're looking for, is never to see the light of day again?!! If this is you, and the ink is in fine condition otherwise, don't dump it down the sink, or throw it into the trash, send it to me (payment can be negotiated), and I will provide it a nice safe home with love, and a decent meal of paper! Please PM me!For Sale: TBA
