Best Loose Leaf Paper

Hi! I was wondering if anyone could reccomend high quality loose leaf ruled paper that I can use for my four-ring binders for uni.

I've considered using Rhodia pre- hole punched note pads with perferated edges- is the paper too smooth/ will ink smudge when taking lots of notes front and back?

Thanks

I'm a fan of Clairefontaine, and they supply paper loose, 4 holes pre punched in A4 and A5

See an example from Bureau Direct in the UK [https://www.bureaudirect.co.uk/clairefontaine-a4-single-sheet-white-paper-multipack ]

There is also an oversize format C'taine make which you might find useful if you're using the Cornell note-taking approach where extra width can be useful. [http://lsc.cornell.edu/study-skills/cornell-note-taking-system/]

My approach when I was at university (mathematics, philosophy of science) was to write on one side only (right side if right handed) and use the facing page for further notes, comments and summarising as you review the work later (and doodling when things drag). It is also easier as you're not always shifting the notebook left and right as you switch sides of the paper. Get some nice A4 blotting paper and as you flip the page, just keep moving the blotting paper; if it does smudge, don't fret as the facing page is blank anyway. You'll obviously use 2x the paper, but have better notes. Nice. You'll amaze your friends as they struggle with their laptops taking senseless linear stream of consciousness rubbish which they can't remember later (there's good research on this, too). Good luck.

If you are in Sydney or Melbourne, pop into a Muji shop and get a couple of packs of their binder refill paper. B5 is about $4 for 200 sheets, and the paper is as good as it gets. They also have matching binders.
