Thank you for offering this "special sale!"

Combined with your already "lower than other" prices it makes the prices VERY fair & when ordered items exceed the $50.00 amount & qualify for FREE Shipping, it is like having Christmas all over again, except without waiting since you are noted for speedy dispatch!

I know some retailers caution against offers of "FREE Shipping," saying "there is a catch, & the cost of shipping is usually indicative of higher prices," BUT I surely haven't EVER found that when shopping @ Pen Chalet. (I have "emptied a cart" MANY times when I check the shipping costs & find they appear to be based on the NUMBER of items & often are $20.00, it just doesn't seem to justify the purchase when such cost for shipping is factored in. Cost does matter for some of us.)

I hope there will be many persons enjoying your "year end inventory clearance BLOWOUT sale;" if they do I suspect they will be as happy as I was when I enjoyed shopping after Christmas.

Thank you for offering this, it helped soften the blow of exchange rates. I finally pulled the trigger on my first gold-nib pen, I wish I had known you had the stub nib Metropolitans earlier this week!

...random aside - I still have some 30 rolls of unused, long-expired Kodachrome 64 film (35mm). They have been frozen since 2009. No idea why I have held on to them for this long, but I guess I'm hoping for a miracle. I too have never developed colour film but I still d&p my B&W to this day. As a passion, of course.

Thanks for the info (I only used B&W film and learned to process that).   Boy -- the stuff I learn here!  Just continually astounded at the depth and breadth of knowledge in this community! Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

      >Well, I knew people who were photography majors in college, and I'm pretty sure that at least some of them were doing photos in color,<   I'm sure they were, and my answer assumes that. It just wasn't likely to have been Kodachrome.  It would have been the films I referred to as "other color films." (Kodachrome is not a generic term for color film. It is a specific film that produces transparencies, or slides, by a process not used for any other film. There are other color trans

@Ceilidh -- Well, I knew people who were photography majors in college, and I'm pretty sure that at least some of them were doing photos in color, not just B&W like I learned to process.  Whether they were doing the processing of the film themselves in one of the darkrooms, or sending their stuff out to be processed commercially?  That I don't actually know, but had always assumed that they were processing their own film.
