Iphone Magnifier Trick

Learned today in iOS 10 if you go to settings, accesibility, magnifier, toggle it on, then click the home button three times and can use your camera as a magnifying glass.

 

Can see where you can save a a photo, but certainly screen shot works

 

Surprising good magnifier, not quite strong enough for nib adjustments, but very close.

I've yet to learn the i-secret i-handshakes, and with the three errors = locked I'm learning the curve way too slowly.

I won't go back, but It's like having the coolest toy but no way to effectively open the box..sigh.

 

Have figured out basic crop edit on point and shoot, but macro what I was hoping for

Would that there were a macro photo mode, the gadget still focuses to the same 3-4" as before. Which isn't all that bad, frankly.

in IOS9/10.. just open the camera mode and focus on the target the use the pinch gesture to magnify/zoom.

The magnifier in OS 10 has some options that the camera doesn't, including switching colors, negative image, and freezing the screen image. Fun stuff.
