Mehandiratta, do you think there will be another group buy for this one?

Also, could somebody provide a photo comparison with Asa Galactic?

They've shipped? So, that's about another 3 or 4 weeks for me I guess. Looking forward to it. :)

They seem to be shipping one by one or in batches - you should get an email when yours is on the way.

If it's any consolation, I ordered early on and I'm still waiting for my shipping notification...

I'm also getting a little impatient...

Dear All,

Here is an update.

Today, Translucent Nauka Group buy will close

Till now we have received 255 registrations in Excel form.

Off these 208 Orders have been received. Till now 71 orders have been shipped.

Despatch has started, as per "First In First Out" from website, based on Order No.

Exception being those who requested for Engraving, these orders will start shipping from coming Monday, as I am waiting for the engraving completion by a 3rd Party.

Production of all pens are complete.

However, each pen is being fitted with Nib, Nib is tested for smoothness and trine alignment, each pen is washed and dried, grease applied and packed and shipped. I assure that the pen's out of box experience will be to your liking.

All these I do myself to each pen. In a day I am able to make and ship approximately 12-14 pens.

I request your support and patience. I will do an ongoing update on the count of pens despatched, on a regular basis.

Best regards

Subramaniam

Thank you so much fo the information. I may be among the very first to make the payment and so was expecting my pen at the earliest. But now i understand the delay in my case as i have requested my name to engraved.

Thank you so much for the clarification.

Hi,

A big congratulations to ASA pens and Vaibhav on conducting a successful buy with more than 200 beneficiaries. A big thumbs up to all who seized the opportunity to get a great and unique pen at such an attractive price point.

Looking forward to the next group buy being launched soon. Hopefully it will be another unique design.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.
    • Ceilidh
Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
