One of the 5 Kyonooto inks. I shall leave the presentation of these inks to someone else.
Aonibi is a greyish blue (blue-black?).

It should not be so purple. It should look somewhat bluer/greener.

Comparison

Only for comparison. I think they all look too purple in the scan.

Sheen?

You may be able to see a faint sheen in writing. In this photo the colour is more or less correct.

Pensei, there are only a few sources, as far as I know.

 

I got my bottle by ordering through Rakuten (search for kyo-iro or kyo no oto), but Sakura Fountain Pen Gallery (located in Belgium but with an online presence) also carries this line.

Edit: we won't mention that just this morning I was doing some scribbling to convince myself that Shin-kai, Salix, Callifolio Bosphore, Kobe 7, KWZ IG Blue 3, F-C Midnight Blue, and BB4B are different enough that it's not quite madness to have them all. Aonibi has a cool box!
