Elephant Dung Paper

Although risking some comments in poor taste (Hopkins, Fanshaw - stop giggling) , I thought this BBC article might be of interest. A brief search didn't turn up any previous references in FPN threads.

Yesterday is history.

Tomorrow is a mystery.

Today is a gift.

That's why it's called the present

I have mailed multiple letters in elephant dung paper envelopes. I've never even tried writing on it with a fountain pen--from even a glance or feel of it, it's clearly not going to be FP friendly. But it's a fun enclosure for the letter. It's also fun to notify the person in the letter about what they've already been handling....

Just because you can doo it doesn't mean you should doo it? Just another specialty paper. May be great for some things, terrible for others (given the comment above about FP use). That's the great thing about paper- if one doesn't work there's almost always another that will.

Thanks you, I was in need of my daily dose of news of the weird...

I don't think I would lick the envelope.

Mine don't have adhesive on the tab but if they did, I'd be reticent to lick as well!
