And it works.

Bottom: Unknown Pilot with 14k semi-hooded nib (NOS from India and came with a CON-20, CON-50 will not fit).

Do the little bearings rattle noticeably when the pen moves around?

If you are shaking around, yes, but I haven't noticed it otherwise when I was taking class notes.

Thank you for posting the picture :)

I bought a couple of CON-20 but I'm relieved to see that this new converter will fit my "little old ones".

I like the CON-40 a lot. A silent rattle when you move the pen, but not anything near the "clonking" from the CON-50.

The small balls also do a good job in transporting the ink to the feed.

But my favourite thing about CON-40 is that it's transparent. The ink level is easily readable.

Time to get one for my 95S Elite - my CON 20 leaked some how - ink all over the little push bar

Ouch. It's expensive at Amazon. I'm also eager to get one for my 95S, but I'll wait until the price comes into line with the others.

The price of one on Amazon is enough for you to buy two or three from an eBay seller (they may ship w/o tracking but it will arrive).

Hmm, I'm not that enamoured with this rattlecan design, so panic- bought a con20 while they're still easy to get. The nipple is so deep within the section on my old Elite it's tricky to judge the ink level anyway.

Thank you so much to all of you who shared your experience with CON-40! I don't particularly need a converter now, so I will wait on buying CON-40s. But I like what I read about it so far, so I won't stock up on CON-20 or 50s.

and it was only that one con-20 converter?

Yeah - not sure if it wasn't sealing up or what not - but went ahead and got two CON 20s and hunting down a 40 - i tend to prefer piston converters

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
