I got this set of inks from Taizo, it arrived today

I already have Asa-Gao, and this is a quick sample of all four inks --

I'm not too sure what happened with the Asa-Gao in the first line, the beginning and end are correct, but the middle went a bit wonky.

A nice trio of inks. Tsuki-yo is much more green and Asa-gao is much darker irl than they are on my computer screen. Does anyone else have that experience, or is my color off?

I adjusted the scan so it was as close to what was on the paper in front of me as I could get.

Many things determine what colour you get -

  • The wetness of the pen you use (mine is a medium-dry FP nib used in a dip-pen holder)
  • The paper you write on (above is Double-A cut sheet paper)
  • The lighting in your room (I have a Daylight CFL putting out the equivalent of 100 watts incandescent)

That looks pretty weird... Perhaps there was another ink before in the pen you used for Asa Gao? Kon Peki looks spot on.

Scans always make Kon-Peki look much more turquoise than it is. It's more of a rich, cerulean blue than the scans show.
