Wow....I think you're selling me PR Velvet Black! Look at that sheen! And the chroma....I'm a sucker for a multi-hued chroma....hubba hubba.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

I'm glad you like this ink, but, aren't all black inks look like this in chromatography? (I don't have other black to compare and I'm bad at science, so...)

Yes, based on this review I bought it at the pen show.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

Gee...I dunno! I have a few blacks, Quink, Waterman, JHerbin, Chesterfield, but never chroma'd any. Now I guess I will have to.

Now this was interesting. I did a paper towel chroma with four of my bottled blacks, and the results were not what I expected. The Levenger Raven Black was...black. And that's all!

The others, far more colorful. Is the Montblanc even a black? It writes like one. Waterman and Quink seemed very close in color components, but in daylight, and not scannage, Quink's corona was slightly more intense orange. Still, I don't think any of them were as much of a rainbow as the PR Velvet!

For some bizarre reason, I love an ink with a complex chroma. Even if it just writes black, it's like I'm writing with a Secret Formula.
