Found An Old Parker Pen - Will Today's Converter Fit?

I found quite an old Parker fountain pen - I have no idea which model it is, or what the nib size is. It had an empty disposable cartridge inside, and I was wondering if I can get a converter to work with it, or just even another cartridge - are they the same today as they were years ago?

This is the cartridge that was inside:

Thanks!

I don't think that those cartridges have ever changed, so they should fit just fine.

- And, by the way, when you take a picture of the cartridge, why not take a picture of the pen as well - I just looove pictures of pens. And why not make a guessing game out of it while we are at it - I go for a 45, and I just can't wait to see if I'm right (which you would have to post a picture for us to find out).

Best regards

I think some of the Parkers (Classic and 180) might be a little snug for the screw piston converter. Those would then need the sliding piston converter.

The additional issue is that there are two different styles of the piston converters. I made the mistake of buying one of the older style ones, which is bigger in diameter and will NOT fit some of the slimmer pens. And apparently Urbans fall into that category. I now have a few of the newer style ones, and they fit in really slim pens like Vectors just fine.

Mind you, that's the diameter we're talking about. The connection onto the back of the feed with be the same, regardless.

I can confirm that the newer slimemr one will fit in an older Parker as I had a play around while cleaning two Parkers I no longer use (as the ink seems to evaporate away in both of them). The newer one would not take the older converter so I had to buy a new one. On cleaning the older pen accepted both converters with no problems.
