Avia Wine Imprint On Unknown Pen

During the 1980s, Coca Cola used a subsidiary, Laureate Imports, as a vehicle of exchange in former Yugoslavia. They would import Avia wines produced in the Slovenian Republic in exchange for Coca Cola products, since the dinar was not a stable currency. After Yugoslavia broke up into the various countries after 1991, the subsidiary was sold to a former employee who then lived in Kennesaw, Georgia.

I was given the pen shown in the photos about 1993 by the owner of Laureate Imports when my wife and I visited his home/office. The engraving on the cap band is Barlow/Salm and the nib is engraved Iridium Point W Germany.

Anyone have any information about this pen?

Baptiste knew how to make a short job long

For love of it. And yet not waste time either.

I recently picked up the same pen a month ago or so. I've been researching about it everywhere and have found nothing. On the off chance, have you found anything out about the pen?

I have yet to find anything, and, as you can see, nobody else has either. Mine writes nicely so I use it on occasion.
