I'd go for the annuity too. I'd probably sign with Noodler's Kung Te Cheng. Or maybe some vintage Skrip Peacock Blue. Or J Herbin Rouge Hematite (I've got the old version with the big gold flakes in it...). ;)

Jackpot is expected to go up to $1.3 billion US by Wednesday. The mind boggles. I had trouble wrapping my brain around the Mega Millions jackpot a few years ago -- even if I only had won a fraction of it I couldn't envision what I'd do once I'd paid off the first and second mortgages and the car loans, fixed the roof, and rebuilt the old carriage house on the back of the property. I figured that all going to be about 200k -- then what? And since then the first mortgage is paid off, the roof was done last spring, and the 2nd mortgage (actually an LoC) and the car loans have been paid down some more.... I'd definitely want to travel. My husband wants to put his brother's kids through college and start a business.

They said on the news that you should wait before making any purchases for six months. But I'm gonna buy me a pen or two, for sure. And maybe some ink....

I mean, it's not like I'm buying a Montblanc....

I worked out that 1.3 billion taken over 29 years with 50% tax still comes to at least $30,000 a day.

I just don't know what I would do with that. Fortunately I probably don't have to worry about it.

As for the ink, probably Legal Lapis. Although it would depend on which pen I grabbed.

I'm about to buy a lottery ticket to myself. Even started studying some strategies for them and following dear day result today on https://lottothrill.com/nagaland-state-lottery/dear-day-6-p-m-today-result. That's so absorbing!
And as for the ink I'd choose Platinum Carbon Black definitely!

There is only one winning strategy: do not play.

The grocery store down the hill from me has a second chance drawing of losing tickets.  Once a month they'll have a drawing for their store-brand gift card (also usable at their associated gas station chain).  I've won 3 or 4 of the $25 gift cards over the years, plus had a few $2 and $4 winning tickets.  And of course, years ago, when I was first dating my husband, I won $78.50 in the NYS Lottery (which at the time was the highest jackpot ever in the US at $40 million).

Yes, I've probably lost more money than I've won -- but I also don't go crazy on tickets and don't pay the extra to double up or anything like that.  Yesterday, I got stuck in the line at the grocery store and for some reason the lottery counter was closing at 5 PM yesterday.  So I ended up going back out to the other grocery store (their counter was closing at 6 PM last night) and got stuck behind some woman who was buying a huge number of the Play 4 one and was apparently doubling up on some of them and the cashier misunderstood and had to re-issue about six of them (and then was going to have to EAT the cost of those tickets out of her own pocket, apparently :o).  I was afraid the woman was going to take so long that I'd miss out AGAIN and would have to find someplace where the counter was open till 7 PM (which is officially when ticket sales for that night's drawing close).  So when I got up the counter, I said "I'll make this EASY for you -- I'd just like a Powerball ticket for tonight...."

Ball point. Thermal Paper is not a friend of any FP ink that I know of

I sign the backs of mine with whatever pen I have with me that day at the grocery store (so, whatever said pens are inked up with).  I do have to wait a bit sometimes for the ink to dry before sticking the tickets in the 2nd Chance Drawing kitty, but it's generally not too bad a wait).
