They're really nice and great writers! I bought the dark teal Sport and gave it to a coworker who'd expressed interest (penabling and recruiting, all at the same time).

  I feel you, I also really tried this month. Usually, June is a month where I might buy something from a pen club member in person, or a random paper packet, nothing huge because May and July are heavy pen spending months. However, this month I have impulsively bought 3 pens and 2 inks (a penguin ink is an obligation in my house). Oh well. I don’t have plans to buy anything else (unless it falls in my lap) until the show.

Platinum (2024 ‘upgraded’ version of the Little Meteor) ‘A Radiant Star’ fountain pens in nine different colours, plus five (or eight, if you count the ones from a previous order that are still in transit, and not due to arrive for another month) other Little Meteor pens. Umpteen cheap Platinum converters to suit them. As well, a Platinum Plaisir (10th Anniversary limited edition) Night Blue fountain pen.

I wholly agree. They also write after being left alone for awhile. I went on a Kaweco buying spree after getting the Frosted Natural Coconut. It made me wish I’d been more into Kaweco pens instead of Lamy.  I suppose I’ve made up for that.

I will have to blame, er, I mean CREDIT @Pen Ffynnon for my impulse purchase of a 1976 Pilot Elite pocket pen with the steel cross-hatch cap and black barrel.

 

I think I am officially developing a sub-collection of stainless steel pens now, though I’ll have to decide whether this belongs, since it’s only the cap that qualifies.

+ "45" + "51" would be more like it! Maybe I'll hold out for a really obscure "45" just to prolong the chase. The UK "Specials" with the colored sections and tassies are lovely; I'm sure they're not too expensive or hard to find. 🙄

I have one of those. It has a B nib. Mine is from the 1970s. There are codes on the nib and pen body that help date the pen.

Indeed! Mine is a <F> whose body code (QE09) indicates (if I'm reading this correctly) that it was made at the Hiratsuka plant on Sunday, May 9, 1976 (this, I have just learned, was at a time when Japanese businesses had not yet converged on a standardized 5-day workweek). That fits nicely with the H476 (Hiratsuka April 1976) on the nib. As an archive hound, this is a degree of precision and detail that really floats my boat, although it also takes a little bit of the thrill and mystery out of the process!

A Japanese ebonite eyedropper and it finally ended my fp starvation caused by the need to buy inks instead of pens. It seems to have no rod but I hope it won't be a big issue and I hope I'll be able to identify it with some FPN help as it has a logo on the clip. I didn't plan to buy it and it was not in my cart even, I had hopes to finally get myself a Moonman F9 (cool spider pen, MB-styled) and then this impulsive thing just happened. Hopefully it will arrive soon and will arrive at all, I took this pen as a gift for myself for a wee milestone.
