Wow! Nice to see you post here!

I gather you were involved in the amazing endless inkextravaganza. We've seen a photo example and positive comments as a result of this creative idea.

One of these days, when we all least expect it, I may show up at Peter's, since I've been there, long before the posses began.

Best regards, oh and give a shout to ether if/when she visits.

I'm one of the show organizers and I designed and funded the ink testing station. Ether was actually at the show. She came back for a month long visit and manged to get taken out by a careless driver while biking home from a Pen Posse event. She broke her collarbone but seems to be mending. If you are on FaceBook, you should join our secret Pen Posse group. Most of us have migrated there.

Oh! So sorry she's injured, could have been tragic.. Send positives from me please? Thanks for the invite, will try to find the group.

The group is SF Bay Pen Posse. It is a closed group. Just ask to join and I'll let you in. The reason the group is closed becaused members did not want their spouses finding out about the pens they bought.

Are all 5 of the boards going to be there.

I have to take the pix that I missed at the show, of all 5 lined up.

Send them to me or I'll tell your wife.

You haven't returned the one I already left with you, Bucko! That's ok, I grabbed a bunch of those old junkers off your table when you weren't looking. I hid them in a remarkably low-key fanny pack.

Thank you, p2p. :-)

It was my fourth day back in California, leaving Pen Posse, looking forward to a great 33-mile ride down the Peninsula... third mile in, SMACKO! Guy had opened his door without looking, and all I could do was roll with the impact. Got lucky -- a clean break, left clavicle. Healing nicely. Thank you for the positive vibes. No more bicycle rides :-( ... for another seven weeks. As the saying goes, a bird that can't fly walks.

As for the SF Pen Show -- truly, so much fun. I think it's the perfect size. Vendors might disagree, maybe they prefer a bigger show, but it was very busy Saturday without feeling overwhelming. Then again, I pretty much parked myself at the Ink Testing Station and tried 80+ inks, interspersed with perhaps as many conversations. It was Great! It was better than Great!

I think Ricky should lease his Ink Testing Station to other shows, hahaha. No, really! Ricky and Loren and Pen Posse did a fantastic job with that Ink Testing Station -- it really is a marvel. I had to stop one person from yanking more than two pens out of their caps. "It screws," I said. I was a little horrified, hahaha. She said something about how hard it was to pull the pens out. "Unscrew them," I said. Such brute strength. Wow. She had yanked the pens out, not just tried. Funny now. No harm done.

I took pictures today of my pages of ink samples, nothing extravagant. I'm planning to post them and other photos from the show in the next couple of days.

Next year (and I will have to rebook my return flight, if I can), I'd like to be the tour guide for the out-of-towners and take a trip into San Francisco. I have already promised not to make it the ethernautrix childhood & twenties nostalgia tour. Hehehe.

Unless the Pen Posse has a time machine, you mean September right? ;) I'll try to make it, maybe I can convince my also pen-enthusiast friend too.

The group is SF Bay Pen Posse. It is a closed group. Just ask to join and I'll let you in. The reason the group is closed becaused members did not want their spouses finding out about the pens they bought.

That is the best reason ever to make a group closed. :D

Oh wow, I'm so sorry. That's awful! :( Having to balance being in direct traffic with being in the cardoor zone (People should check for bikers!) is dreadful. I hope you get better soon. (My fiance also got into a bike-car collision on the peninsula a couple months ago and he sympathizes, though he lucked out, his injuries didn't end up as bad as yours. (Among other body parts, his head hit the ground hard right near his temple. I will forever be eternally thankful he was wearing his bicycle helmet that day.

:excl: EVERYONE WEAR YOUR BIKE HELMETS. :excl: ))

Yeah, the Ink Testing Stations would be a mega-hit with other penshows for sure! And then you'd get an excuse to attend those penshows too!

Didn't consider they might be screw caps myself when I first saw them. Thankfully someone told me right away, so no yanking here! Maybe the printouts with the ink numbers and names could have a big "Screw the Caps Off or SCREW OFF!" warning on the top next year?

I will bring the ones I have. (Unless of course it was AUGUST 6th, in which case I have already brought them back and we are now on an alternate timeline.)

For a Parker Vac debutante.

Hello, I'm in San Francisco. I draw with fountain pens and was at the Pen Show. Are the group events open?

I just posted in the drawing section of the site: I bought 3 pens at the SF show, my favorite is a Taccia Savannah.

Here's my work, https://www.facebook.com/rootlessworks. Let me know if you ever meet in San Francisco, I'd like to come and see what you all have. I'm always looking for fountain pens to use for drawing.

ciao,

Marco Flavio
