Project Hieronymus Ink Green 01 - Where Hieronymus Of Stridon Meets Hieronymus Of Zürich

Morbus, I do not see an interest in organising a goup buy for Iroshizuku inks, unless you can negotiate a lesser price than 17,57€. You can get them at that price, free shipping, on the ebay - we are far from CHF38. ;)

I've organised Iro group buy for Poland. The price per bottle was 12,99 $. Than we had to add price of the shipment (99$ for 55 bottles, shipped the cheapest way, it took two months to ship to Poland) and TAX duties (30 % of total amount). All in all if you're interested in one bottle it's better to order it directly from Amazon. Group buy starts to make sense when you order at least three bottles and even then you won't save much (but still something :) ). If I recall well the final (shipment and tax included) price per bottle was like 17,88 $.

Wow, $17.88 per bottle is pretty cheap if you ask me. I ordered 4 bottles for personal use and it was around $30 a bottle including everything. But then, I used EMS shipping and paid custom duties instead of avoiding them.

Servus Peter,

Thank you very much for your wonderful review. I love the colour of this ink and I had a look at their homepage. Wow, the Blue #2 looks like a colour I would go for, too, and their stationary looks very, very nice. The only thing not to like about their products obviously is the price tag. Did you have to pay VAT when it was shipped to Austria?

Thank you for the rather unusual versions of the Lord's Prayer as well (is there a line missing in the Latin version (fiat voluntas tua), or is this the way Hieronymus translated it? I have also never come across this English version with "debts" and "debtors" which led to a very informative google search). Actually I am not a big fan of religous texts if it comes to reviews - or in "show us your handwriting threads" - , but in this case it is more than appropriate, given the name of the brand.

Dank(ch)e

It's the "Your will be done" line or the "dein Wille geschehe"...

You got the clue, but besides Hofmannsthal and the Stefan-Zweig-centre, we have also got Joannes Chrysostomus Theophilus Wolfgangus M. (and every ghastly souvenir imaginable connected to either him or a certain family that made their way to Switzerland by "walking a (certain or every) mountain"... Ts, Ts, Ts, Hollywood obviously couldn't afford a map of Europe).

I've never been to the the Stefan Zweig centre, but as my favourite novella is the "Schachnovelle", it's on my to-do-list for this summer.

Ok, off-topic over and back to the ink!

Peter, did you have a chance to try any of their paper? I see they make a notebook that is not horrendously expensive.

Looking forward to receiving the samples!

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
