Dark Purple Ink: Any Favorites Which Are Fairly Water Resistant?

First time I have looked for a deep, dark Purple ink. Usually I use either Noodler's or Diamine. Anyone have one which flows well, and is fairly resistant to water after drying? I usually write on heavy laser jet paper (bright white) and sometimes jot notes on spiral pads or comp books.

thanks very much.

My suggestion would be to check out Noodler's North African Violet. It's a bold purple that won't wash away.

I have a lingering impression that it doesn't flow really well, but I think I kept it in a pen that didn't seal well. I refill a pilot varsity pen with NAV and it's been happy there for over a year. (Now I need to try it again in a pen that I know seals well!)

I would look into KWZ Ink IG Gummiberry or KWZ Ink Violet #2. If you want something thats retina searing, KWZ Ink Violet #4 works as well.

Sailor Shigure is a nice deep dark purple, but its waterproof-ness leaves much to be desired.

but also those who pretended not to notice. It was my friend.

I can confirm that it is definitely not waterproof.

Thanks. You saved me time and effort. The result is, however, as I'd imagined.

I use KWZI Violet #3 to write checks. It's definitely water resistant and that's why I use it for this purpose.

Pendemonium's Iraqi Indigo by Noodlers has been in one of my EDC for years. It's a dark purple and bulletproof.

You can add Noodler's Ghost Blue or De Atramentis Document ink to almost any ink and radically improve water resistance. BTW, this was the worst paper I could find.

KWZI #17 is one of my favorites. Here is #18 which is more magenta. As you can see it has water resistance.

I can't recommend this ink, but I love it anyway and it has a great bottle.

I use Rohrer and Klinger Scabiosa on a daily basis. Whether it is dark purple or not depends on the paper; on HP laser printer paper, I would say that it is.

As for flow, I discovered Scabiosa after having flow problems with Diamine purple inks in several pens. Scabiosa has not given me any flow problems, cleans easily, and being an iron gall, it should survive a splash.

I liked the KWZI Gummiberry, but have you noticed it doing anything strange? The first day it was a lovely purple. The second day, it started out blue and then after writing a bit it became purple (even the blue turned to purple). I left it a week, and when I tried writing, the pen refused to start up. So I flushed the pen. I'm not sure about the way it is behaving, and since I had it in a Rose Gold TWSBI, I thought the best thing to do was to flush the pen.

I know I am in the minority with this suggestion but I love Noodler's La Reine Mauve. The ink gets a lot of bad press but I have never had any issues with it. I have one of my favorite pens dedicated to this ink and it is not an inexpensive pen. I flush it every 5 fills or so. There is a bit of nib creep but it is easily cleaned.
