Delta Passion (Gift For Wife) Careful What You Wish For!

So you know the old saying be careful what you wish for ? Well it just bit me right on the butt :lticaptd: !! I wished my wife would understand my addiction to pens and not shake her head every time I bought a new expensive pen or ink. Well that changed today. It started right after I got my Delta Dolcevita a few days ago, she really loved the look of the Delta pen and she started looking on the web at Delta pens. She said she really liked the Delta passion pen in pink and black. So I thought I would surprise her and buy it for her, it arrived today, she really loves it and now she is addicted to fountain pens. She is been raiding my ink cabinet all day, and surfing the web talking about what inks she wants to order (after she just told me a few days ago I have way too many inks and I need to stop ordering ink ), she even mumbled something about some Visconti pen she saw that she might want next . .....What ??? I am thinking to myself what did I do :gaah: this is supposed to be my addiction damnit !!!, I want things back to normal, her yelling at me that I am crazy for spending so much on pens and ink and me ignoring her and ordering more stuff !! . The universe seems out of order right now, I want things back to normal :bawl: ..............It really is a nice pen though, writes beautiful right out of the box, really smooth, unlike my Dolcevita that had to be shipped to Yafa to change nibs.

I feel your pain :).

The same happened to me when I bought a Pelikan M605 Marine Blue and my wife saw the M400 White Tortoise in the advertising booklet that came with my pen. She bought it immediately and has been addicted ever since (although she will not admit it).

A month ago I bid and won a Graf Von Faber Castell Intuition that I had wanted for quite some time. Well, she decided that the pen was her and now I still don't have a Graf Von Faber Castell that I wanted :( - she on the other hand is quite happy with her Intuition.

The biggest trouble is that if you have limited funds, like me, this means less pens for you since the pen budget will have to be shared. Gaah... the world is definitely upside down :) .

Btw, your wife has very good taste: that Delta Passion is a beauty.

Thank you I will pass the compliment to her :) and yeah I have a feeling I am going to be sharing my pen budget now too. I have to figure out a way to clog her pen maybe she will hate fountain pens again :lticaptd:

Congrats on sharing your hobby with your spouse! That's a gorgeous pen. :)

Current Wishlist:

Visconti, Visconti, and...more Visconti! (And some ST Duponts too). (Ok fine, getting on the Omas and Montblanc trains now too. Toot toot.) (And maybe on the Montegrappa one too, but only for the Miyas.)

Luckily, my wife only like ballpoints and rollerballs. I think I'll try to keep it that way. :)

GOOD FOR YOU and GOOD FOR HER! That is wonderful that she is sharing your hobby. And now you know what to get her for her birthday and Christmas!

The problem is that now you have no one to fight you on new purchases so you'll have a hard time not spending haha

Thank you for the warning! - That would make me return the birthday present I bought for my wife if I had not already inked it...
