Those of you wanting to get the Emerald of Chivor ink, two of the vendors are planning to bring it with them.

This is presuming that they receive their shipments in time to pack it for the show.

Think anyone will be bringing Quink or Scrip ink to the show? Preferrably blue but black would be OK too.

My wallet is happy but I am quite sad that I will be out of town this year :bawl: especially since Stylo Art is coming for the first time.

Call in sick. We will not tell.

Sam/Pendimonium will bring both Qunik and Skrip.

Which brand/color and how many bottles?

I will pass it to Sam and she will bring and put aside for you.

My wallet is happy too. It's getting filled up with cash. It has not been notified where it is going next week, though.

The classes/workshops and the ink sampling look amazing. My problem is justifying about $400 in flights and hotel nights. Someday!

I can speak for the show, you will not be asked to justify anything. See you on Friday or Saturday?

I am slowly talking myself into the LA show. That's within driving distance for me. Then that $400 "saved" could be spent on goodies, right?

A full dispensation and forgiving of sins in advance is an unique benefit of the San Francisco Pen Show. Other shows provide this only after the fact and with purchase of a trader's pass.

You guys are the best! :notworthy1:

Well, except you will have to buy us all drinks at the hotel bar. But, no, if you can't do SF, you must absolutely do LA. One or the other, or both. Otherwise we will have to come for you.

Last year if I remember correctly I was buying everyone drinks at the SF show. Which of course means with Zhenni buying drinks in LA there will be no pens for Zhenni, just a bar tab.

Zhenni-Best will be to come to the SF show, you can by Jon's pens and drink my drinks. I'll have a cold one waiting for you on Friday evening. Even with the travel and hotel costs and buying a few pens you will be way ahead of that bar tab in LA.

Stylo Art was at last year's SF pen show. I know because last year I had budgeted for them, but missed them.

It's all right that Pendemonium will be bringing a few bottles of Skrip and Quink for FarmBoy. Sam and Frank might be able to find him a few bottles of Carter ink. Now that so many of us are into advanced Japanese inks, or ever more varieties of from Noodler's, blue and black Sheaffer and Parker inks could disappear and you'd hardly notice from reading FPN.

I am as deeply concerned about this as FarmBoy is.

You guys are hilarious. I do like SF, and might plan a vacation to coincide with the pen show someday, but this time around I think LA wins for convenience. I actually bought my first fountain pen at a street fair in front of the SF Ferry building.

Actually, you missed them last year because they weren't there.

However, this year, the will be there for you to miss them!

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
