Is Inoxcrom Back With Fps?

After joining FPN and reviving my FPs, visiting every stationery shop in Abu Dhabi has become my aim though I have to go back disheartened. Only a few colourful school pens or Hero 330. Today I happened to go to a bookshop run by a fellow countryman. He spoke for a few minutes regurgitating memories of FPs from Parker, Pelikan, Sheaffers, Pilot etc.

He then showed me a box with some plastic pens and said that was all what he had. Picked a decent looking one and asked him was it Jinhao clone of Lamy. No, it was Inoxcrom!! He said they may be back now with FPs. I has seen only BPs everywhere in stationery shops and had not bothered to pick a FP when they were available a few years back.

Body is completely made of plastic with a speckle finish to make it look like metallic. the clip too is plastic. Very light. looks like some of those ebonite pens.

there is a silver grey band on barrel and written INOXCROM.

13cms in length capped.

posting the cap is bit tight so did not try that.

at section it is 12-13mm in diameter.

uses a standard cartridge. perhaps a converter will fit. not tried yet.

The nib is steel and feed plastic as below. Why the nib has no breather hole drilled but it is only etched on it I don't know.

pushed in a cartridge and tapped the pen a few times and it started to write without much fuss. The line is a kind of medium like Pilot. not super smooth but good to recommend. there is a feedback when i write. very light to handle.

For about $3 it is a keeper.

I bought three from their online store, they came very promptly and have been the joy that I remember from my earlier Inoxcroms (from the early 90s). Here is a link to the site I bought from: http://europepens.com/?product_tag=pluma

Shipping is very expensive, but I got my pens. Relatively fast.

a fountain pen is physics in action... Proud member of the SuperPinks

Thanks mhguda for the link. Got 3 pens - PArker Insignia, Sheaffer antique black seems No Nonsense, Waterman Hemisphere Palladium finish. when you get three or four pens 20 Euros is ok for shipping i think. The site is in Spanish i think and google translate helped out with the descriptions etc.

Now for the writing experience of Inoxcrom. BTW inside the clip it is embossed INOXCROM SPAIN. After a few signatures and writing, with normal 80gsm copier paper we use at office the pen is very smooth. Very light so no fatigue. Like it. Would it push all my other pens to the back? Maybe till one of the above ordered is felt better than this ;) .

I have four Inoxcroms in my collection and two are awesome writers and two are skippy. I have had three more in the past and they were all great writers. The Poeme and Sakyo are awesome pens for the money. I hihgly recommend the Poeme. It is a great compact pen.
