Montblanc Winter Glow

Another nice red ink from Montblanc. Montblanc is really good at making reds. Corn Poppy Red is my favourite red ink. This one doesn't stay far behind.

And it has some water resistance!

It's a perfect match with my new red Pilot Falcon/Elabo.

Nice review and ink. Looks similar to Rouge Hematite with out the gold sheen/sparkles.

So many inks, so little time...

That does look like a nice ink. Is it a limited edition, though? I didn't find it on Montblanc's website, just Corn Poppy Red.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Great review and I love the comparison of all the reds!

Hi Ruth, I got on the red bandwagon a little late, so I only got my first bottle of this ink a month or so ago. If you are interested in getting one, I would check the MB boutiques, because they still had some left over inventory.

Has anyone compared it to the latest Shakespeare Velvet red? I would do so - if only I had received my bottle of Shakespeare. I have an unused bottle of Winter Glow.

I think this one has pink/magenta undertones, whereas Shakespeare has brown undertones. Recently I saw a review (in Polish) in which this ink seemed to be even more pink.

I recently found six back up bottles of this in my ink box. I also found 10 back ups of Hitchcock. Do I need both? Maybe it's time to do a detailed comparison between the two so I can decide if I want to sell some of either bottles.

I'm sure you would have no problem selling either colour. :)

OR...........maybe you should have FOUR more bottles of Winter Glow so neither one will feel you like the other better?

Nice to see the comparison with the other red inks!

I've always found this to be an exceptional red ink.
