It looks slightly pinkish. It's okay but I'm not too fond of this colour.

Comparison

All my reds compared. The scan shows them to be more saturated and brighter than they really are.

Thanks Lgsoltek...nice review. I'm a big fan of red inks, my favorites being Red Dragon and Oku-Yama. I really appreciate the comparison of all the reds. Sheaffer red is certainly the gold standard for a "real" red. My only problem with red ink is that it's so darn hard to flush out of pens. The price you pay...

I like red ink, too. Corn Poppy red from MB is my current favorite. I also like the Diamines and the other MBs.

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

I just bought a bottle of MB Corn Poppy Red...I'll have to load up a pen and check it out...2 FPN members can't be wrong. 😉

Ironically, I just got a sample vial of Sheaffer Skrip Red, and was really underwhelmed by both the color and the performance. I actually *prefer* Rood Haags Pluche as a "red" red (no pink or orange undertones, and not leaning either burgundy, brown, or blood red. [My other red of choice is De Atramentis Dante Alighieri/Ruby Red, but that definitely has pinkish undertones.]

I see you've included some of the Diamine inks in the comparisons. Have you tried Diamine Classic Red (and if so, how does it measure up)?

Actually, looking at some of the posts, we're all wrong sometimes. But Corn Poppy Red is my current favorite red, mostly because it is just a nice slightly dark red.
