Aurora 88 Size Comparisons!

Can some one help me? I can't see these pens in person, but I'm interested in a modern 88. I see that they come in large and small. How does the small compare size wise to say a Pilot Falcon. How does the large compare to a 149?

General thoughts on these pens? I've heard that the nibs are narrower in general?

All of my standard size 88s are old ones, not modern.

The small modern though is about the same size as the Sheaffer Prelude, Parker Sonnet, Waterman Phileas, ST Dupont Fidelio, old size Omas Milord, modern Pelikan 600, Namaki/Pilot VP or Signum Orione.

I have an Aurora 88 large, but anyway I took this photos as a comparation between the three models. I hope it helps.

Perfect! Thank you both.

Now, do the modern Auroras run narrow in terms of nib width?

Not in my experience. Not 88 but Talentum.

I'm not sure but my modern large 88s both have EF nibs on them and I'd say they are pretty close to the Pelikan EF width, on the whole. As it happens, the 88 nibs are both slightly different which is quite a nice thing, actually. Great pens.
