Iroshizuku Syo-Ro

This is a dusty blue-green. I like the darker colour of the shading but not the lighter colour of the non-shading part. It's a nice sheener.

Writing sample

The ink changes colour as you write. It flows onto the page as blue but quickly dries to a greener tone. Similar to Ku-jaku but more drastic.

Comparison

The letters are all in Syo-ro. Only the swabs are for comparison.

Ku-jaku, Syo-ro and Shin-ryoku are like three Iro brothers. Ku-jaku is bluer, Shin-ryoku is green, and Syo-ro is in the middle.

Yama-dori and Ku-jaku are very alike. Yama-dori looks like a "stronger" and richer colour.

I have this as my go-to ink in a Pilot Capless, and it's not washed out or dusty at all; possibly it pays to have it in a wetter pen? I like it very much, especially the way it changes colour as it dries.

I have this ink, and it's an insane sheener for me with the red tones. Plus, the primary color is even darker than first picture on the right. It's far darker for me than Yama-dori, almost a teal-black.

 

Depending on the pen I use it in, it can be very disconcerting to have this assertive teal-black with deep red "halos" around every character I write. I wish I didn't have a lingering tremor, still, while coming down from Graves Disease, post-op, so that I could take a picture to demonstrate what I mean.

 

The color and sheening is so different for me that I wonder sometimes if I have the same ink everyone else does. It's that dramatically different from every other photo I see of it online.

Same here. In the pens I've used it in, it's so dark that it's almost a teal-black, with a very decided red sheen to it.
