Magna Carta

I received a unique gift from a friend. Imagine my excitement when I opened the package to find a new fountain pen! I understand that Magna Carta writing instruments will soon be introduced in the US.

In person this pen is gorgeous in appearance, yet not ostentatious. It is fitted with an ideal size 6mm, Bock steel nib. Bock is the industry leader, and the nib manufacturer of choice for the prestigious brands around the world. Owning hundreds of fountain pens as a collector for many years, I find that the nib and feeder performance are impeccable, as is the threading operation. Ink flow began immediately when pen was put to paper--smooth, right out of the box and continuing, and void of skipping. Many of us are not fond of metal (grip) sections, but the Magna Carta is very comfortable in the hand. This fountain pen is pure writing pleasure.
The pen's converter is threaded and thus 'locks' securely in place. And that feature/benefit reminds me about this fountain pen in general--there is obvious attention to detail in its production. I plan to learn more about other pens made by this Company. I hope that the pens they manufacture and make available to us are affordable and enjoyable and supported by outstanding customer service.
When time permits, will upload a writing sample.
Photos attached: capped, uncapped, and sitting on its presentation box.--Please note..I was unable to successfully upload the photos, thus will try to post them on FB @ https://www.facebook.com/groups/166688786797779/

People here do a really nice job with Fountain Pen Reviews, and I have not posted many, but I hope there is something in this Review that is beneficial to others. Thanks, and hey, I'm no ad man...lol!

I am the importer! Their pens can be seen at www.heritageandstyle.com

We have asked the manufacturer to make a few improvements to their pens and we are expecting to receive the new, improved variants soon.

If you are involved, that puts a more favorable light on the subject, I think. At least based on previous transactions.

That is very kind. Thanks for saying that!

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
