New Model Tease For 2015

Looks like Pelikan has cooked up a new model for 2015. They posted the following picture and caption to their Pelikan International Facebook page earlier today;

"2015 a classic is going to be reinterpreted. What do you think, what model could it be? The solution is going to be presented on Monday ;-)"

Here is a link to the FB post; http://goo.gl/S9JiYG

Any thoughts on a reimagined classic? I think the red cup on the tray is a clue. This may be something akin to what the M101N is to the 101. Any guesses? For what it's worth, and I hope that I'm wrong, my guess is for a P400 cartridge filled Souverän.

I hope you're wrong, too... Something a little more exciting than a cartridge Souveran would certainly be appreciated. A tortoise M400 re-release would be nice.

I'm hoping for a more affordable Souverän-style model that harkens back to the less-blingy days of the vintage 400.

One without gold trim rings at every possible location. Just a pen, not a "fashion accessory" is what I want!

But I think that my idea may be a bit far fetched. I fear that it will be a cartridge filler as the OP mentioned.

At least it will be revealed in just 1 day. Just one more day to wait.

I'm more of a hoper than a guesser so I go for a tortoise shell Pelikano with 14k nib under $50 :D

It's early, some more dreaming to do....

I agree that the red cup may be a clue. I'd like to see a M600 tortoise, but for some reason the middle child just does not get the love from the company so I won't be surprised if it is a red something else, but the language suggesting a reinterpretation of a classic leaves me clueless.

M405 black phc?

No that's out already. Hmm. The background is similar to the black silver M1005 studio shot...

Ah, I love it!!! I definitely will get one of these, in M600 or M800 size. Far more attractive to me than the current colours (tortoises excepted, of course  )

I kinda have to agree with nyx_h here. Of the current non-tortoise versions I find this by far the most appealing. I'm still more excited by the rumored pink tortoise, but I might get one of these in either the either the M600 or M800 if I can swing it on top off a yellow Toledo M910.

I think its a nice looking pen. At least I now get the reinterpreting a classic reference. I will probably pick one up based on that photo.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
