It's just my personal opinion, but I think the cross-stroke above the letter allows it to be too easily confused with the majuscule T. IT sorT of makes The wriTing look like This.

I feel your ts in "Tattered little bottle" are correct. The others look funny and I agree with Yaakova.

That's exactly what my son said :)

It gives just a little bit of flourishing. Here's another one - this one uses both my t's plus the terminating t - too wild for me...

That's very interesting. I don't think I had ever seen a sample of this particular style of Spencerian. I do prefer the second example where the raised cross-stroke is used as an occasional flourish, though. :)

I use one hat over two t's, but put more curve into them, as in the samples you are going from. I don't worry about confusing lower and upper case, as the upper case T is one third taller than the lower case t. I think your hats are too flat. Experiment with various curves until it suits you.
