Well I just obtained my 2nd un-restored PFM on my price terms despite saying in the OP that they were hard to get. Now if I can just get my hand on some PFM II, IV, and V.....

Welllllll, spoke too soon on this. Got a message via paypal for refund and seller message of 'sorry pen is broken'

Translation: 'sorry, winning bid wasn't high enough.' Happens all the time.

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

I obsess over pens that don't exist yet, but could. For instance: a pen that fills like a Conid but automatically fills the ink cache; has the finish of a Nayaka with small diameter round windows to indicate the amount of ink in the filler; a small cap that opens by moving up and covering the feeder; an on-the-fly mechanism to modify the feed; a clip that disappears into the barrel, and an option for personally designed gold bands around the barrel and cap that make each pen distinctive.

Obsession might be too weak a word … Possession comes to mind (maybe some dead fountain-pen-nut dude has attached him/herself to me :yikes: )

Have recently drooled over Omas 360 & various clipless Nakaya`s, but I`m still firmly decided not to spent bigger bucks just on nice design & a coating of Urushi.

But I am tempted to invest in one or two pens with specialty nibs: XF-BBB wet noodle (as always) and a Sailor Specialty nib

PS: Of the pens I own I`ve been specially possessed with acquiring:

Sailor Sapporo Zoom nib, Mabie,Todd & Bard, Wahl-Eversharp Doric + Skyline, Various Stylomine 303`s & Bayard`s, Franklin-Christoph Transp. Eyedroppers

oooooooh my darling Omas 360... I've been drooling over that pen for years...

For a while I've been obsessing over anything with a flexy nib and have a really nice Eversharp Skyline; but I still can't stop myself looking at the flex pens on ebay. Oh the drooling (sorry, I know that's not allowed!).

My absolute number one pen obsession is the Nakaya Cat pen, not the moon one, but the one with has a very faint image of a cat's face. This is more of a grail pen than an obession. I'd have to win the lottery (which I don't do) to buy that pen. It probably doesn't write well anyway! Here's a wonderful vid of it, get ready for some great pen porn :cloud9: :

Also, a funny story:

I was pen-browsing when I came upon the Stipula Speed and thought to myself: Eughh, what an ugly pen! Then, completely by coincident, I saw it again somewhere. I thought: Oh, the Stipula Ugly model. Then, I came across it the third time and realized: I can't stop thinking about this pen! Now am obsessed with it for some reason.
