Sailor's Full Ink Lines Including Shop Exclusives Compiled In A Post?

Mew, does your list include the Hirayama Mannendo inks? There was a twitter pic of four of them a while back. I ended up getting Hirosaki Pink-Grey, which is a very cute grey that looks a bit purple—I should compare it to Chu-shu—and Tsugaru Black Currant. At first, this looked disappointingly like an overpriced bottle of black ink, but upon closer inspection, I do think there's a decent amount of purple in it. I don't own Bung Box Ink of Witch, so I cannot compare.

I'm not sure, don't remember that name too well. But let me check and get back to you on this.

I don't have Twitter, and I don't want to go to that length to get information on new inks. I have maintained some level of sanity. :P

@algester: you were not able to find a writing sample of pen land cafe utsurugi, here is one.

Utsurugi is black when freshly written, and dries to a sepia coloured ink. Most interested in this one out of all 4.

I placed an order with them yesterday for few of their inks.

1x pen land green

2x red cliff

2x utsurugi.

I think I wiped out the stock of all 3 inks.

Oh, me neither. I'm pretty sure it was posted on this thread somewhere. Here's the Twitter link:

I managed to get a hold of the Hirayama Amonori Evergreen. Heres a sample (please excuse the typo in the swatch).

I hardly contribute, but I must say, this thread has been such a good one to follow. I keep it as an open tab on multiple devices. Thanks all!

Thanks for the pic. I finally got a smartphone, so here is my first attempt at taking an inky pic with it! One must really look hard even in person to see any purple in the Tsugaru Black Currant, but Hirosaki Pink-Grey grows on me more and more.

Thanks for the samples - I really like that Pink Grey.

That pink-grey is appealing to me, which is a bit shocking. I might try to approximate it by adding a drop of retina searing Sailor pink to Chu-shu. :D

A splotch of unknown origin on the inside of the box gives an interesting glimpse at its components.

  • 2 weeks later...

Bungbox introduced 2 new inks: Luminous Florescent Green and Soleil.

I have a vague memory that these have been available before. Are they perhaps two of the seasonal inks?

Oh, sorry. I had never seen these before. I bought my first Bungbox inks back in March this year, so not too familiar with their inks.

Does anyone know when sweet potato purple will be released?

I searched my emails, and it appears I ordered it on 9/5/14, so... September. :)

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
