How in the world are finding out about these!? I am on KN's mailing list, got two emails from them today and nothing at all, not a single word on these inks. I can not even find them on their website. How are you learning of them?

I am also on their mailing list, received a few things today, but nothing that mentions this.

YES! I FINALLY got my paws on some Omaezaki Sea thanks to Vanness' newest shipment. Woohoo. Got two bottles just to make sure I don't go wanting for a long while. I think it's my all around favorite shade of blue.

And I THANK YOU!

I thought that might make someone happy! And it's a good evening for me as well, because I share Betweenthelines' affection for Sea. I think it has replaced Sapphire as my favorite ink. I was tempted to get two also, but held back. I'm like the lab rat with the intermittent reinforcement thing--I've been clicking on Vanness about twice a day, and it finally paid off.

29 days from moving house. No way I can manage another bottle of ink to pack. Whimper!

OMG, this thread is still growing? :yikes:

With the new FPN rules, now I REALLY don't know what to put in my signature.

Why not? This is one of the most important threads on FPN. :)

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.
    • Ceilidh
Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
